I’m Helena (I usually go by Velleic online), an avid reader of crime fiction, particularly of the Classic, clue-based sort. Over the past few years I’ve built up a backlog of thoughts and even full reviews of some of the books I’ve read, and this blog is my place for sharing those thoughts. I’m particularly interested in short stories, and have even tried my hand at writing a few of my own. I also enjoy video games, and like thinking about mystery fiction in games way too deeply. The process of writing, and the real-life stories behind writing, are also favourite topics.
